Rajkummar Rao, Bollywood ActorRajkummar Rao is a Bollywood actor who started his career with anthology film Love Sex aur Dhokha. The actor marked his presence in Bollywood with his very first film which earned him appreciations for delivering a commendable performance. His inclination towards acting started right from his school days, when he used to perform in theatres. He nurtured his acting skills through active participation in theatres throughout his academic life. Rajkummar Rao has received notable appreciations for portraying varied roles with remarkable dexterity.

Early Life of Rajkummar Rao
Rajkummar Rao was born as Rajkumar Yadav on 31st of August 1984 in Gurgaon, Haryana, to a lower middle class family. He discovered his penchant for acting while he was on a theatre stage in his 10th grade. He did his schooling from Gurgaon and completed his graduation from Delhi University, in Arts. Along with his studies, he was actively engaged in theatre with Kshitij Repertory and SRC in Delhi. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, in 2008 and shifted to Mumbai for pursuing a career in Bollywood.

Rajkummar Rao, after attending FTII, spent some time in pursuit of an opportunity by visiting studios and meeting casting directors. He got his first break in the year 2010 when he responded to an advertisement which mentioned an opening for newcomers for the Indian filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee`s film. He bagged a role in his movie Love Sex aur Dhokha, which marked his debut in Bollywood. Both, the movie and his performance received positive reviews from critics. His next venture was Ekta Kapoor`s film Ragini MMS where he essayed a negative role and once again managed to earn appreciations for his performance. He next appeared in Bejoy Nambiar`s film Shaitan. Although the movie could not perform well at the box office, Rajkummar`s acting won praises. The actor appeared in small but significant roles in his next few movies including Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2, Chittagong and Talaash. For the movie Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2 Rajkumar had visited Wasseypur to work on his character and accent for the movie.

Rajkummar Rao appeared in Abhishek Kapoor`s Bollywood flick Kai Po Che! in 2013 which was an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat`s novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life. The movie received huge success both critically and commercially. Rajkummar also received substantial praises for his powerful performance. Following this, he appeared in the biographical film Shahid. The movie was based on the life of Shahid Azmi, the slain lawyer and human rights activist. The actor gained critical and commercial acclamations for the portrayal of a strong yet charming character.
