Rajim Lochan Mahotsav is a popular fair of celebrated in Rajim in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The small town of Rajim located on the banks of the Mahanadi River is renowned for its rich historical past and its varied cultural heritage. The Rajim Lochan Mahotsav is organised every year from the 16th of February to the 1st of March. The fair is held in the premises of the Rajimalochana Temple that is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is also well known for its exquisite sculptures and many beautiful stone carved ancient statues that have inscriptions on them. The temple walls were built with the bricks that have been piled together by mixing limestone and the entrails of the bel fruit.
The Rajim Lochan Mahotsav is held from Magh Purnima and continues till Shivaratri. The temple is located at the confluence of the rivers .The area is also called Prayag of Chhattisgarh. This place is located at the confluence of three rivers, Pairi River, Mahanadi, and Saunduor. It is for this reason that is place is also called as Triveni Sangam.

During the Mahotsav the tourists get an opportunity to observe the intricate architectural style employed for the construction of the temple. Interesting dramas are also enacted by the local artistes who keep the audience enthralled by their riveting presentations. Many folk artistes of exceptional calibre are a major attraction in these functions held on the occasion of Rajim Lochan Mahotsav. Many shops are also set up that sell various goods and products of art and crafts to the visitors. Delicious eating joints are also opened that sell some lip smacking local food to the visitors. Children, women and men dressed in their best attires are seen moving around trying to have a glimpse of the rich cultural tradition of the region. Steps are being taken by the ministry of tourism to organize the fair in a more impressive manner to attract larger gatherings during the fair. The infrastructure is being improved upon to promote the event.
