He is a prominent leader of the Indian political party Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). He is the representative of the Purvi Champaran constituency of the Indian state Bihar. He is famed for being an organisational man who has contributed extensively to the growth of the party. Being a cricket enthusiast, he has also served as the Vice President of the Association of Bihar Cricket.

Early Life of Radha Mohan Singh
Radha Mohan Singh was born on 1st September 1949 to Late Baidya Nath Singh and Late Jai Sundari Devi. Since childhood he has been an RSS Swayamsevak and has enthusiastically worked for the welfare of downtrodden and scheduled castes.

Political Career of Radha Mohan Singh
Radha Mohan Singh began his political career as an Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Nagar Pramukh in the year 1967 from Motihari in Bihar. In the year 1980 he became the President of the Bhartiya Yuva Jan Morcha. Radha Mohan Singh has been the Member of Parliament five times since 1989. In 1989 he got elected to the 9th Lok Sabha. He has held a number of significant positions since then including the Kisan Morcha Vice-President. From the year 2006 to 2009 he has served as the President of the State Unit of BJP. He also became the member of 11th Lok Sabha, 13th Lok Sabha and 15th Lok Sabha after contesting from the Purvi Champaran constituency of Bihar. He has also been the member of various committees on ministries of Railways, Communications, Petroleum and Natural Gas, Surface Transport and External Affairs.

After being elected to the 16th Lok Sabha in the year 2014 he became a Cabinet Minister in the Central Government led by Narendra Modi and holds the portfolio of Minister of Agriculture of India. His priorities as the Agriculture Minister include the protection of cow and their better breeding. His other ambitious schemes enlist providing insurance and irrigation to the farmers. He has also expressed his consent for the use of GM technology wherever it is necessary.

Radha Mohan Singh is married to Smt. Shanti Devi and the couple has a son and a daughter.
