Phiroze Edulji Palia, sometimes named as Phiroz, an early Cricketer from India, was born on 5th September 1910. His debut test Match was against England on June 25th to 28th 1932. His first class span in cricket was 1928 to 1954.
Phiroze Edulji Palia represented India during the regime of British Government in India. He is the man of great determination who played the test match in England, where India first participated in the year 1932.
After that, Phiroze Edulji Palia suffered an injury while fielding in a test match. In the second innings he was hardly in a position to walk, but batted as the last man. He again toured England in 1936 and played at Lord`s Cricket Stadium.

Phiroze Edulji Palia also represented United Provinces in Ranji Trophy and Parsis in the Bombay Pentangular in the pre independence period. The highest score of Phiroze Edulji Palia was a 216 made against Maharashtra in 1939 to 1940 in a losing cause. Phiroze Edulji Palia was an attractive left hand batsman and a useful spinner. He in the time of colonial regime represented domestically in the teams of Bengal, Madras, Bombay (Mumbai), Mysore, Parsees and United Province.
For sometime Phiroze Edulji Palia, well known as Phiroze was in the service of the Maharajkumar of Vizianagram. His last test match was against England at Lors Cricket Stadium, London, England, on June 27 to June 30, in the year 1936. Later, after his retirement, Phiroze Edulji Palia established a timber and furniture business in Bangalore (Bengaluru). His father was a prominent figure in the business circles in Bombay (Mumbai) in the 1920s. After his retirement Phiroze Edulji Palia kept in touch with the game as a Test selector and radio commentator from India.
He died on September 9, 1981, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, at a very ripe age of 71 years.
