Nivedita Daw, Indian DancerNivedita Daw is a well accomplished Odissi dancer who has bagged the scholarship of National level from the Ministry of Culture, New Delhi. This young promising talent is a senior disciple of Smt. Aloka Kanungo. She has assisted many a time her guru and made her guru feel proud of her. This talented dancer has won many accolades in her life time. Nivedita has won the 2nd prize from the West Bengal State Music Academy, Certificate of Merit from Sri Aurobindo Bhaban, Kolkata, 1st Prize from Malasree.

Nivedita Daw apart from these has also done appreciably well in many school and inter school competitions. She has also performed at many highly esteemed places with her guru like , The Khajuraho Dance Festival, Kalashetra, Chennai, Ekamra Utsav-Mukteswar Dance festival, Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, Bhubaneswar Music Circle,Padatik Little Theatre, Orissa Festival, Choreography Festival, Uday Shankar Dance Festival, Kolkata Doordarshan, National Library, Kolkata to mention a few.

Nivedita Daw also got the opportunity to sharpen her skills in Odissi dance under the great tutelage of legendary Padmabibhusan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. She has also received great training under the illustrious Odissi dancer Smt. Sujata Mohapatra. Nivedita Daw holds a diploma from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. Today Nivedita Daw is recognized as a unique combination of versatility and scholarly quality.
