In naturalistic forms of painting depiction of human form, animal and nature is common. Colouring of relief work in clay is unpopular though there are some examples in which efforts have been made to clear the details of relief work by colours. There are examples in the interior locality of villages where three or four huts were painted in a naturalistic manner.
There are a number of wall paintings on this hut that are done in representational and naturalistic art. For example, a village magician is shown holding a string of a bear in his left hand. On his left shoulder a bundle is hanging. In his right hand there is a cane. The magician is followed by the bear. The face of the magician is in complete profile, the right shoulder and the hand of the magician is drawn out a little forward to show perhaps the force in movement.
In this painting the stylization of human form in an elongated style can be easily marked specially in the upper portion. The face of the bear is made in the style of a lion. The clothes of the magician show the perfection of skill in the work. The bodies of both the forms are proportionate. Details are remarkable as far as face and legs are concerned. The colouring of the body of the bear gives an idea of a three dimensional. This entire painting is done in white, red and black earthen colours. Magician and the bear are shown in a forward motion. The hind legs do not show any motion.
This type of work is evident in a painting of Radha and Lord Krishna by using few primary colours. The artist has tried to clear the details of limbs, garments and ornaments with colours. There are examples of flower depiction which is based on pure geometrical patterns. The three petals of flower with a thick line in each petal show the thickness of petals.
