Career of Nandita Chandra
She started her career as a television anchor for Channel V in India. Next, she spread her wings and went on to work in various national and international cinemas and stages. She has worked in a Yashraj films production with Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. In 2010, she was featured in the "The Blowup" by J Wingfield which premiered at The Manhattan Film Festival. In the following year, she bagged the Outstanding Actress award at The Midtown International Theater Festival in NYC for her performance in I-Pod written by Natalie Menna and directed by Joan Kane. I-Pod narrates the tale of a New York City artist who pretends to be an environmentalist to win a generous grant. I-Pod grabbed the Best Solo Show at The Network One Act Festival in the year 2012. She was last seen in The Homebase Project in David Bar Katz`s "Can`t Go Home" opposite LAByrinth founding member David Deblinger. Apart from her theatrical work, Chandra has appeared in a number of Bollywood movies like Chehere, Red Earth etc.

•She was felicitated by Himachal Pradesh C.M. Hon Pratibha Singh for her contribution in the field of theatre and performing arts in India in 2008.
•She bagged the Outstanding Actress award at The Midtown International Theater Festival in NYC for her one woman show I-Pod in 2011.
•She also holds the distinction of being the first Indian woman to be accepted into the Acting program (MFA) at the prestigious Actors Studio Drama School in New York.
