Career of Nandita Chandra
She started her career as a television anchor for Channel V in India. Next, she spread her wings and went on to work in various national and international cinemas and stages. She has worked in a Yashraj films production with Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. In 2010, she was featured in the "The Blowup" by J Wingfield which premiered at The Manhattan Film Festival. In the following year, she bagged the Outstanding Actress award at The Midtown International Theater Festival in NYC for her performance in I-Pod written by Natalie Menna and directed by Joan Kane. I-Pod narrates the tale of a New York City artist who pretends to be an environmentalist to win a generous grant. I-Pod grabbed the Best Solo Show at The Network One Act Festival in the year 2012. She was last seen in The Homebase Project in David Bar Katz`s "Can`t Go Home" opposite LAByrinth founding member David Deblinger. Apart from her theatrical work, Chandra has appeared in a number of Bollywood movies like Chehere, Red Earth etc.
