Mehsana Jain Teerth

Mehsana Jain Teerth is a Jain pilgrimage centre. Mehsana is a city and municipality in Mehsana district in the Indian state of Gujarat. The principal deity of the temple is Bhagawan Simandhar Swami. The temple is located on the outskirts of the Mehsana city on the Ahmedabad Mehsana highway. According to history the temple was built under the inspiration of Acharya Kailassagarsuri Maharaj Saheb. On the sixth day of the bright half of the month of Vaishakh of the Vikram Samvat Era, the new idol was formally installed in the new temple.

The temple of Mehsana is an ancient one. It is 161 ft. long, 97 ft. broad and 107 ft. in height. The presiding deity of the temple is Bhagawan Simandhar Swami which is almost 365 cms in height. The idol is white in colour and is seated in a Padmasana posture. It is a grand temple with magnificent architectural beauty. The temple is adorned with a waving flag of the tip of the beautiful temple. Apart from these there are other temples located here. There are fifteen other temples in the city. The largest temple is dedicated to Manamohan Parshvanath Bagawan. The temple also provisions for boarding and lodging for the pilgrims.

Mehsana Jain Teerth can be easily reached via rail and road. The nearest railway station of Mehsana is at a distance of two kilometres. Bus service and vehicles are easily available from this temple on the Ahmedabad Delhi highway.
