Mahayog Academy, Yoga Institutes in IndiaThe Mahayog Academy has been founded in Uttarakhand to impart Yoga teachings directly from the Himalayan masters. This Yoga institute is a premier one in north India and aims to promote world peace and enliven spiritual consciousness.

Mahayog Academy is the Yoga teaching wing of Mahayog Foundation whose President is Mahayogi Kapil Adwait (Pilot Baba). Sankalpa Shakti is the power that is born from the virtues like resolution, will and determination to manifest thought vibrations into reality. The Gurus of Mahayog Academy teach the sacred, esoteric Yogic science which was originated in India 5,000 years ago. The Gurus of this institute revives the passion of empowering mankind to enhance peace and goodwill through the strength of Yoga. They bestow their deep rooted knowledge and experience that not only makes the students spiritually sound, but they also understand the limitations of this power.

The Himalayan masters in Mahayog Academy reach out to share the power of transformation, to rediscover the spirituality of mankind and lead them to the awareness of self-recognition. This institution claims of teaching authentic yoga that has been actually practiced by Indian sages in the Himalayas. The courses in Mahayog Academy are associated with all kinds of Sankalpas. The students achieve the key knowledge that leads one to the power to enliven universal consciousness. That key lies in the secret teachings of Sankalpa Shakti, by which the battle of the Mahabharata was once fought and won. This shakti is taught in Mahayog Academy.

Mahayogi Pilot Baba is Mahamandaleshwar of the Juna Akhara and a Himalayan Master from a lineage which traces its origin to Kripacharya of the Mahabharata. He has taken jal (underwater) samadhi, bhumigat (underground) samadhi and samadhi in air-tight containers with the sankalpa of world peace and to enliven awareness. Several of his disciples have also taken bhugarbha or sthal samadhi, under his guidance, to promote peace and goodwill. The Mahayog Academy is an ancient hermitage that has created a space where the 21st century aspirants, who are accustomed to their lavish environment; can learn from the spiritual masters and sages of India in a perfect disciplinary routine.

Mahayog Academy is nestled in a quiet, contemplative space near Jeolikote in Nainital District, where many Himalayan masters have meditated since 1133. This hermitage was intended for meditating ascetics and was constructed as a symbolic reminder of particular realms and fields familiar to yogis. The Mahayog Academy has now opened this hermitage to create a meeting ground of the spiritual masters and sages of India to bestow their knowledge about Yoga, which is strictly Indian in origin. The specific courses offered in Mahayog Academy include the Yoga paths of Kundalini, Siddhi, Sankalpa and Self Healing.

On various occasions, seminars are held by the authorities of Mahayog Academy to create spiritual awareness. Such seminars were held in association with the Times Foundation at Delhi in 2003 and in association with the Tao Centre in Mumbai in 2004. One can reach Mahayog Academy by 7-hour drive from Delhi or else either by bus or train that reaches this institute within few hours. Mahayog Academy is one of the most visited Yoga institutes in north India that has introduced traditional Himalayan Yogic courses.
