Mahapurusha, Supreme SpiritMahapurusha in mythology is said to be the supreme spirit. `Purusha` means that which abides or is quiescent in body. It is a name given to Vishnu who is any form of spiritual being acknowledge by different philosophical systems. In Vedanta he is referred as the Brahma, the Iswara of the Patan-jala, and the Purusha of the Sankhya school.
