Kalavali Narpatu, written by Poigayaar, is one of the 18 minor literary works in Tamil that area apart of Patinenkilkkanakku. The different poems in Kalavali Narpatu are composed in the Puram tradition of Tamil literature of Sangam age which refers to the external concepts and themes. The Puram tradition implemented in the Sangam literature refers to the various subject matters that are related with the tangible concepts of life such as war and battle, politics, wealth and many others.
