Jayati is the meter which is a rhythm given by division into parts of equal duration. Lord Brahma from his western mouth created Jayati which was used to write Sama Veda.
Jayanti metre is used in writing, the collection of hymns termed Saptadasa and the Aitaratra sacrifice.
