International Yoga Festival, Uttarakhand is a reputed festival arranged by Parmarth Niketan Ashram in which visitors participate in Yoga sessions conducted by renowned Yoga practitioners from all over the world and attend their Satsang.

International Yoga FestivalInternational Yoga Festival is a famous festive event held in the region of Rishikesh in Dehradun District of the state of Uttarakhand, organized by the Parmarth Niketan Ashram. The International Yoga Festival, 2014 will be celebrated from 1st March till 7th March, 2014 and will concentrate on the credible origin of `Yoga`. Participants are generally allowed to take part in many Yoga sessions which are presided over by renowned Yoga exponents from all across the globe which impart lessons in different kinds of yogic postures involving `Kriya Yoga`, `Kundalini Yoga`, `Iyengar Yoga` and `Power Vinyasa Yoga`. These classes continue for over 60 hours.

International Yoga Festival 2014 will be attended by famous Yoga teachers comprising H.H. Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, H.H. Pujya Shankaracharya Swami Divyanand Teerthji, H.H. Pujya Mooji, H.H. Radhanath Swamiji and H.H. Pujya Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji. Participants are permitted to hear their lectures and their `satsang`.

This festive event, aimed at awakening the consciousness and awareness about the significance of Yoga is a unique procedure to spread the concept of practicing Yoga for physical and mental stability. The eight `limbs of yoga` are taught to the assembled people, irrespective of the fact whether they are regular students of Yoga or not. The utility of Yoga is explored in this week-long Yoga festival.
