She is also the current chairperson of India`s largest media group, Bennett, Coleman and Company Ltd. which owns the Times of India and other large newspapers.

Indu Jain is the Chairperson of The Times Group. In her capacity as Chairperson of The Times Group, Indu Jain has since infused new energy into the growth of India`s largest media house.

The Times Foundation, which she founded and carefully guides, has garnered international acclaim for its, often pioneering, activities in the field of development. A humanist to the core, under her direction, The Times Foundation runs Community Services, Research Foundation and Times Relief Fund for disaster relief like floods, cyclones, earthquakes and epidemics.

A successful business magnate, Indu Jain is also often confused with the other, who is an accomplished Hindi author and poet. Among the other Indu Jain`s compositions, her noted compositions are those where she has penned the lyrics of critically acclaimed movies like Chashme Baddoor, Sparsh and Katha. Earlier, she had also conducted interviews and talk shows for Doordarshan. Indu Jain has been spreading the message of "Peace within First", that spearheads a movement to spread the principles of peace globally.

Awards Received by Indu Jain
Indu Jain was awarded the Padma Bhushan Awards by the Government of India in January 2016. She is also the guiding force behind The Oneness Forum, formally launched by the President of India in 2003. Indu Jain recently awarded the Mahatma-Mahavira Awards to outstanding individuals from all walks of life and is involved in several activities that seek to bring, and highlight, a sense of Oneness in the world.

Personal Life of Indu Jain
Indu Jain was married to Ashok Kumar Jain by whom she had two sons, Samir Jain, Vineet Jain and a daughter. The husband of Indu Jain died on February 4, 1999 in Cleveland, United States at the age of 65, following a heart transplant on January 10.
