Hollant Beach is one of the most visited beaches of South Goa near Bomgalo, Goa. It attracts a huge number of visitors and tourists. It is celebrated as it is the only beach in Goa where one can see the sunrise. Hollant Beach presents beautiful views including the main southern beaches of Goa, along with the foothills of the Western Ghats. Hollant Beach lies just 2 kilometres away from the Bomgalo Beach and Dabolim Airport. It is located at a distance of 7 kilometres from Vasco Da Gama city.
Things to do in Hollant Beach
As Hollant Beach is the only beach in Goa where one can see the sunrise, it offers the serene views. There is a chapel, which is the place of the rare Feast of Three Kings which was celebrated on 6th January after the 12th night of Christmas at Cansaulim beach. According to the legends, the three kings went across the nearby village on horseback from the church on a hilltop.
A fair is also held at the church grounds which attract a huge crowd of visitors and tourists. Hollant Beach is also a great place to go swimming. To the left side of the beach, a small trail through a hillock which leads to Cansaulim Beach. There are few huts and resorts at the beach and people can do some water sports as well in Hollant Beach. A vast walkway divides the beach into two parts and the western part is called "Issorcim".
Visiting Information of Hollant Beach
People can take on a vehicle or a car to arrive at the Hollant Beach because no buses carry out to this beach. The beach is well connected by road, so people can hire a bike or a car from Vasco Da Gama, Goa to reach the Hollant Beach.
