Hijam Guno Singh
Hijam Guno Singh is a novelist and a short-story writer in Manipuri Literature. His short stories depict seamy side of an individual.
He was the editor of Ritu which is a quarterly manipuri journal of cultural forum. He has also been the member of editorial board of Sahitya which is a publication of Manipur Sahitya parishad. He has also served as a President of Cultural Forum of Manipur. He has also served as the General Secretary of Manipur Sahitya Parishad and Executive Council. He is Member of the State Kala Academy. He is a Member of the Advisory Board in Sahitya Akademi.
His Published works include: Laman, Khudol, Aroiba Paodam, Eikhoi Tada, Fijang Maru, Bir Tikendrajit road, Phijang marummda, Langjin Mangkhraba kishi, Changkhonba sahitya and Hiyang Atouba.
He has received Manipuri Sahitya Parishad`s Jamini Sundar Guha Gold Medal(1965) and Sahitya Academy Award (1985).
