However, it was her role of the bubbly `Lara` in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which brought her into limelight. In most of her films she plays either a foreigner or a mix of Indian and foreigner.

Early Life of Evelyn Sharma
She was born on July 12, 1986 in Frankfurt, Germany to a Punjabi father and German mother. Her father had died early. She received her education in Business.

Career of Evelyn Sharma
Evelyn began her career as a model and has modeled for cosmetic brands in the UK. After this, she tried her luck in acting and was a part of the 2006 British film Turn Left. Later, she moved to India to work in Indian movies. She made her Bollywood debut in the year 2012 with the Prateek Chakravorty directed movie From Sydney with Love.

In the following year, she appeared in three movies including Nautanki Saala, Issaq and the blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Her performance in Nautanki Saala and Issaq received appreciation from the audiences. In 2014, she worked in two films which are Yaariyan and Main Tera Hero. In Yaariyan she played the role of Janet D`Souza and in Main Tera Hero she played the role of Veronica. In the following year, she appeared in Devang Dholakia`s Kuch Kuch Locha Hai opposite Navdeep Chabbra, Sunny Leone and Ram Kapoor. Upon release, it received negative reviews and was declared a box office flop. In 2015 she worked in Ishqedarriyaan, opposite Mahaakshay Chakraborty, where she played de-glam role for the first time in her career. It was her first solo lead film.

In addition to this, she has also done a travel show titled Life Mein Ek Baar. Presently, she endorses Indian lingerie brand `Bodycare`.
