Prior to her film career, Erica Fernandes took part in the beauty pageant Miss India 2012, finishing in the top ten. She is also popular for her role of Prerna Sharma in Kasauti Zindagi Kay season 2, which is telecasted in Star Plus channel. Erica was also been seen in many South Indian movies.

Early Life of Erica Fernandes
Erica Fernandes was born on 7th May 1993 in Mangalore and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her parents, Ralph Fernandes, a model and interior designer and Lavina Fernandes, had originated from Mangalore, Karnataka. Erica Fernandes did her schooling from Holy Cross High School and completed her college from SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce, located in Sion. For further studies, she pursued her Bachelors in Arts from St. Andrew`s College, Mumbai but dropped out to pursue her modelling career. Since 2010, Erica Fernandes has taken part in pageants and notably won Pantaloons Femina Miss Maharashtra 2011 amongst other titles.

Film Career of Erica Fernandes
Erica Fernandes auditioned to play the lead role in S. J. Surya`s "Isai" but was eventually not picked for the venture. She subsequently was selected to play the lead role in the bilingual "Virattu / Dega" instead, featuring alongside newcomer Sujiv, son of the director Kumar. The movie director Sasi had seen pictures of Erica Fernandes at Meera Kathiravan"s office, whom she was shooting another film with. Sasi offered her a role of a software engineer in a film alongside, who plays her love interest. Due to the delay of her other films, "Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu" became her first release. In 2014, Erica Fernandes made her debut in Kannada with the film "Ninnindale" featuring alongside Puneet Rajkumar. This was followed by her debut Hindi film "Babloo Happy Hai", directed by Nila Madhab Panda. In February 2014, "Virattu" eventually released. Its Telugu version however was pushed to late 2014 and so "Galipatam" became her first Telugu release. The film received decent reviews from critics, who also noted the mature acting of Erica.

Erica did her television debut with "Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi", which was telecasted in Sony TV. There she was seen playing the character of Dr. Sonakshi Bose along with Sheheer Sheikh. Their on screen chemistry was quite appreciated. Then, she started working in "Kasautii Zindagii Kay" season 2 opposite Parth Samthaan from 2018. The series is telecasted in Star Plus channel.
