The Dover Lane Music Festival was started in the year 1952, when a group of enthusiastic musicians with a common lining for classical music met up to share their point-of-view and led to the formation of musical festival. In the initial years, the festival was actually a small number with fewer artists but with time the event gained immense popularity. The festival used to take place on Dover Lane when it first started but due to the increasing number of people who visited this event, the venue was shifted to Nazrul Mancha.
