Dhriti is one of the twenty-four daughters of the patriarch Daksha.

Dhriti is one of the twenty-four daughters of the patriarch Daksha. The term Dhriti means steadiness. Dhriti got married to Dharma (righteousness) and their son was `Niyama` (precept).

Dhriti is also the name of several princes. There was a son of Vethavya, king of Mithila by the name Dhriti.

Dhriti is also the son of Babhru and of a son of Vijaya. The wife of Manu, one of the eleven Rudras was also known by the name Dhriti.
