Darshan Jariwala was born on 29th September 1957 to the veteran Gujarati actress Leela Jariwala, who was a contemporary of Dina Pathak.

Career of Darshan Jariwala
Darshan Jariwala has acted in number of movies as well as television serials. His performance in Gujarati serial Narasimha Mehta, earned him huge popularity in the entertainment world. In the year 2007, he portrayed the role of Mahatma Gandhi in the Bollywood flick Gandhi, My Father for which he gained nation wide acclamations. He also won National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for the movie. Apart from this, the actor has impressed the viewers through several Hindi movies including Guru, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Aaja Nachle, Superstar, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Aarakshan, Ajab Gazabb Love and many more.

Darshan Jariwala has also enacted in various Gujarati plays such as Andhalo Pato, Mulraj Mansion, Patro Mitro and Hatheli Par Baat Baaki. He has also appeared in an English theatre Going Solo 2 and a Hindi play Uncle Samjha Karo.

Darshan Jariwala had married television artist Apara Mehta in 1980 and the couple is blessed with a daughter.
