Chandan Roy Sanyal, Indian Movie ActorChandan Roy Sanyal is an experienced Indian actor who is known for his work in the Hindi and Bengali language films of India. He was born on the 30th of January, 1980 in the capital city of Delhi. He was born into a Bengali family. After graduating he made his acting debut in the 2006 film "Rang De Basanti", in a minor role. He then received critical acclaim for his supporting roles in the 2009 caper thriller film "Kaminey" and in his Bengali debut, the 2010 film "Mahanagar@Kolkata". Sanyal then went on to receive recognition for his performances in the 2012 Bengali drama film "Aparajita Tumi" and as an insomniac artist in the 2013 romantic drama "Prague".

Born and brought up in Delhi, Chandan Roy Sanyal hails from a Bengali family. Chandan Roy Sanyal studied at Zakir Hussain College, Delhi University and has an Honors degree in Mathematics.

Career of Chandan Roy Sanyal
Chandan Roy Sanyal made his foray into the big screen in the year 2006 with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra`s "Rang De Basanti", in which he played the role of Batukeshwar Dutt. Although Rang De Basanti was a huge success at the box office, it was, however, his role in Vishal Bhardwaj`s 2009 thriller "Kaminey" that got him noticed. This role won him a lot of appreciation from the movie critics and the audience alike. He was nominated for the Stardust Award for Breakthrough Performance (male) for this role in "Kaminey".

Chandan Roy Sanyal has also acted in a couple of Bengali movies, his first being "Mahanagar@Kolkata". His performance in the Bengali drama "Aparajita Tumi" and romantic drama "Prague" have been well received. In this film he dons the role of an architect who supposedly falls in love with some German girl. However things between them start getting more and more complicated because the architect suffers from schizophrenia. He has also acted in "F.A.L.T.U" and "D-Day" among others.
