Ajna Chakra, Kundalini ChakraAjna Chakra, also known as the "Brow Chakra", is referred to as "third eye" or "mind center". It is situated at the center of the forehead and is connected to the pituitary gland. The Ajna Chakra is the avenue for wisdom. Ajna Chakra is the 6th chakra of the Kundalini Chakras. This Chakra controls ones learning process from the past experience and helps to put the incidents in a perspective. The impersonal intuitive reasoning and ability to distinguish between reality and fantasy or delusions come from the Ajna Chakra. The visual images are received through the open Brow Chakra.

Appearance of Ajna Chakra
Ajna Chakra has 2 petals and is associated with "Manas" or mind. It is associated with Indigo colour and inside of the pericarp is the "Shakti Hakini", who is moon white with 6 faces and 6 arms, holding a book, a skull, a drum, a rosary and making the gestures of granting boons and dispelling fears. There is a downward pointing triangle that has a moon-white lingam within it. Above the triangle is another smaller triangle, within which is the Beej mantra; "Aum".

Function of Ajna Chakra
The role of Ajna Chakra is the action of ideas, insight and mind development. The spiritual lesson it gives is better understanding, detachment from the material world, open mindedness etc. The imbalance in this Chakra might cause many physical dysfunctions like brain tumours, strokes, seizures, blindness, deafness, learning disabilities, depression, panic, spinal dysfunctions etc. It also involves a number of mental and emotional issues like controls fear of truth, maintains discipline, promotes judgment, evaluation, emotional intelligence, concept of reality and negates confusion. The information stored inside Ajna Chakra is vision of clear picture (symbolic or literal), intuition, intellect or wisdom. The body parts that is governed by the Ajna Chakra is brain, eyes, ears, nose, neurological system etc as well as it is associated with endocrine glands like pituitary and pineal. Awakening of Ajna Chakra
The awakening of Ajna Chakra involves visualization, remote viewing and coherent dreaming. The foods that stimulate this Chakra are dark bluish coloured fruits like blueberries, red grapes, black berries, raspberries etc. Liquids like grape juice and spices including lavender, poppy seed, etc.

The gemstones that arose this Chakra are Purple Flourite, Sugalite, Lapis and flower essences to stimulate the Chakra are Wild Oat, Queen Anne`s Lace, Madia etc.

Exercises for Ajna Chakra
The Ajna Chakra is simulated with inversions, semi inversions and forward bends that are directed towards it. These postures in yoga will activate, balance and harmonize the Ajna chakra.
