Benudhar Rajkhowa (1872-1955) edited the Bijoli (1890-92). He wrote a number of poems and songs. His poetic works include: Dehar pralay, Jivan sandhiya, Sipurir hatari which were written between1920 and 1930. All of them were serious compositions. Rajkhowa`s poems are known for their historical significance. Perhaps due to this time has transferred him and his work to the background. However these songs are precursors of the dawn-songs of the succeeding romantic period.
