Bapu Gayadhani Award, Indian National Bravery Award The Bapu Gayadhani Award is given to the heroic children in India, as a part of the National Bravery Awards category. The National Bravery Awards are mainly presented to those rarely brave children under the age of 16 years, who fight against all obstacles and show outstanding deeds of bravery and selfless sacrifice. The Bapu Gayadhani Award was incepted in the year 1988 and since then, a number of fearless children have become the Bapu Gayadhani Awardees. All these awardees are considered to be the best courageous children in the country and they receive their award from the Prime Minister of India, along with the other National Bravery Awards winners.

2006 Shilpa Janbandhu 15 yrs. Chhattisgarh For participating in an anti-naxalite movement, SALWA JUDUM, despite threats.
2007 Raipalli Vamsi 12 yrs. Andhra Pradesh For saving five girls from drowning, by diving into the in Nagavali river thrice.
2007 Boney Singh 16½ yrs. Manipur For saving two boys from drowning in a water tank near Sagolband Meino Leirak, Imphal West-I.
2007 Amol Aghi (posthumously) 15 yrs. Haryana Lost his life in chasing robbers in Geeta colony, Panipat.
2008 Asu Kanwar 14 yrs. Rajasthan For displaying amazing courage in standing up against child marriage.
Kavita Kanwar (posthumously) and Seema Kanwar 16 yrs. Chhattisgarh For saving their friends from an accidental fire; Kavita lost her life in this accident.
2009 Ranu Mishra (posthumously) 10 yrs. Uttar Pradesh Lost her life while saving her brother and his friend from drowning
Deepak Kumar Kori (posthumously) 12 yrs. Uttar Pradesh Died while trying to save a girl from drowning, as villagers looked on
