Babhru Vahana`s father Arjuna lived at Manipur for three years. As planned earlier, later he left leaving his wife and son Babhru Vahana.
Babhru Vahana became the king of Manipur in later life. The prowess and manhood of Babhru Vahana is praised by all. The country of Babhru Vahana was rich and prosperous and all his subjects were virtuous, contented and happy.
It is said that in the seventh adventure of the horse of Arjuna, the horse was seized by Babhru Vahana when it reached the city of Manipur. But, when he came to know that it was of Arjuna, his father he restored the horse with many demonstrations of affection and respect. But, Arjuna is said to have considered it a coward act by Babhru Vahana. Arjuna thought that Babhru Vahana should not have restored the horse without a battle. Thus, it led to a contest in which Arjuna was slain by Babhru Vahana. But when the news reached Chitrangada she wished to ascend a funeral pile. Arjuna was however restored to life again.
