Ashwraj is a popular character in Indian comics series created by Pratap Mullick for Raj Comics. It is amongst the many popular characters from the Raj Comics universe like Nagraj, Super Commando Dhruva, Doga, Parmanu, Bheriya, Bhokal etc. Ashwraj comic series is published and distributed by Raj Comics. Ashwraj is a warrior prince who belongs to the Suryavanshi sect. He lives in a fictional world known as Ashwlok, inhabited by human-horses.
Concept of Ashwraj
Ashwraj is a half-man half-horse being and is an efficient warrior. Armed with a sword and a shield, Ashwraj contains several super human powers like immense physical strength and stamina and the ability of shape-shifting. Ashwraj posseses 5 special horses in his cart namely Ashwvat, Raktambar, Kalakhor, Shravyashakti and Neelkanth. Each of the horses contains specific powers which aid Ashwraj in his missions and conquests. Ashwvat has ability to communicate with other human-horses and also has the ability to understand any language. Raktambar constitute has super vision and can view anything from great distances. Kalakhor has a strong sense of smell. Shravyashakti special ability is related to enhanced hearing ability and Neelkanth has powerful analysis abilities.
Other popular characters in the Ashwraj series include his friends, family and allies like Kudumchhumbi who is considered as Ashwaraj`s lover. Ghodilekha is the sister of Ashwraj. Ghudak is the trusted and talented Senapati of Ashwaraj who helps him in his many adventures. Tutabuta who is an evil magician in Ashwlok, is the arch nemesis of Ashwraj.
