Artha
Artha is the means by through which life may be maintained. Lower or higher desires can be maintained through Artha.
Trivarga must be cultivated while man is upon the Pravritti Marga. Till one reaches the path of renunciation man must work for the ultimate goal by practicing dharma through lawful means as lawful desires give birth to righteous acts. While one is on the pravritti marga the trivarga should be cultivated.
