Amrit Singh is an Indian cyclist and he is a member of Indian squad who was the first man to qualify for World Track Cycling Championship.

Amrit Singh, Indian CyclistAmrit Singh is an Indian born cyclist. He is hailing from Patiala, Punjab. Amrit Singh along with Bikram Singh was chosen as the cyclist for World Track Cycling Championship, which was held in Australia in the year 2012.

Early Life of Amrit Singh
Amrit Singh was born on October 1 in the year 1991. He is a 23-year old Indian cycle champion from Patiala in Punjab, is a sensation in Indian Cycling. From childhood, Amrit Singh started cycling ever since, he was 8 years old and developed his interest towards the sport, while watching the cyclists training every day at the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala (NSNIS), which was at a few miles away from his house.

Amrit Singh was one of the members of the Indian Squad who qualified to represent India for the first time in World Track Cycling Championship, which was held in Australia in 2012.

Amrit Singh first participated in the National Championship in the U-12 age category in 2004. Then two years later in 2006, after his father passed away and as the only child, the responsibility of his family rested upon his shoulders.

Amrit Singh with his hard work in Indian Railways and sports as a passion has won 34 gold, 11 silver and 3 bronze National and continental medals till now. He is coached by Rajinder Kumar Sharma. In the year 2014, Amrit Singh achieved Track Asia Cup in New Delhi with 1 Gold and 2 Bronze, while 1 Gold he received in each in National Games Time Trial, Kriein and Team Sprint Championships. Amrit Singh also achieved 3 Gold in National Games 2015, Kerala and along with the 4 silver in National Championship. He also represented India in World Track cycling championship held in Australia in 2012. Amrit Singh also represented India twice in Common Wealth Games. He also appeared successfully twice in Asian Games, thrice in World Cup and 6 times in Asian Cycling Championship and 6 times in Asia Cup.
