Edakalinadu is a panchayat town in Kancheepuram district in the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu.
As per the 2001 census report, Edakalinadu had a population of 25,769 inhabitants. Males constitute 49% of the population and females constitute 51% of the population. In Edakalindu, 12% of the population is less than six years of age. The town has an average literacy rate of 60%, which is slightly higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 69% and the female literacy rate of 51%.
