Dusi is a census town in Tiruvanamalai district of the southern state of India Tamil Nadu. It is located between 12.77° North latitude and 79.68° East longitude at a height of 74 metres ( 242 feet) above mean sea level. The temple town of Kancheepuram is situated at a distance of 9 km. from Dusi. The town has one of the five biggest reservoirs of Tamil Nadu. It is the Dusi Mamandur Lake.
According to 2001 census report, Dusi had a small population of 5102 inhabitants. Males and females occupy an equal proportion of the population. In Dusi, 13% of the population is less than six years of age. Dusi has an average literacy rate of 60%, which is higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 71% and, the female literacy rate is 48%.
