Duru Verinag is a town located at the Anantnag district of the northern state of India, Jammu Kashmir.
According to the 2001 census report, Duru Verinag had a population of 16,727 inhabitants. Males constitute 54% of the population and females constitute 46% of the population.In Duru Verinag, 11% of the population is less than six years of age. Duru- Verinag has an average literacy rate of 49% which is much lower than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 60% and female literacy rate is just 36%.
