According to the 2001 census report, Digapahandi had a population of 10,888 inhabitants. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49% of the population. In Digapahandi, 12% of the population is less than six years of age. Digapahandi has an average literacy rate of 59%, which is slightly lower than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 68% and, the female literacy rate is 50%.
