Akhtar Hussain was a great player of both the countries India and Pakistan. He proved himself to be worthy for both countries. Akhtar Hussain was born on 23rd August 1926. He was a filed player from India.
Akhtar Hussain participated at the 1948 Summer Olympics. At the 1948 Olympics India won the Gold medal. After the independence of India he shifted to Pakistan. He has also participated at the 1956 Summer Olympics as the team member of Pakistan. In that Olympics, Pakistan won the silver medal. He died on November 9, 1987.
