Channarayana Durga is a hill fort located near Koratagere in the Tumakuru District of Karnataka. The fort is located around 100 km away from Bengaluru. Channarayana Durga hill fort was constructed by Channapa Gouda in the 17th century. Later, the fort went under the control of the Marathas. After that, the possession of the fort changed between Marathas and Mysore Wodeyars. Lastly, the British took over the control of the fort during the third Mysore War and then they abandoned the fort. The fort houses few temples and old structures.
Channarayana Durga is also a popular trekking destination of Bengaluru.
