Named after the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, the Nehru Park is located in the heart of the Guwahati city in Assam, opposite the premiere education institute of Cotton College. One of the oldest parks in the state, the Nehru Park is a public park that is currently a place of recreation and is a popular place of tourism in Guwahati.
The Nehru Park was initially a part of an old church that was later developed by the Assam Government. Inside the Nehru Park, there are numerous trees and 45 statues that depict the various folk dance forms of Assam. These statues portray the culture and diversity of the people of Assam.

The Guwahati railway station is the closest at a mere distance of 700 m from the park and the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is the nearest at about 22 km away from the Nehru Park.
