An initiative of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), the Monolith Festival is a three days long cultural extravaganza held at Mawphlang in the state of Meghalaya. The festival aims to display the rich culture and heritage of the Khasi tribe under one common stage. Thus, helping the visitors to indulge and experience the myriad aspects of the Khasi culture.
The Monolith Festival offers a number of cultural performances, workshops, indigenous sports, events, stage performances etc. The festival also brings about an international exchange of cultures and thus facilitates tourism in Meghalaya.
