History of Dighali Pukhuri Once a naval yard used by the Ahoms in the ancient time, the Dighali Pukhuri is a rectangular man made pond that was built by Bhagadatta. Once, the pond was linked to the Brahmaputra River but its access was eventually closed and during the colonial times, on the newly filled areas, the Circuit House and the Guwahati High Court building were built.
