Zee Cine Awards, instituted by the Zee Network, is a viewer’s choice award which honours and celebrates the contributions of the Hindi film industry professionals.

Zee Cine AwardsZee Cine Awards, abbreviated as ZCA, is a viewer"s choice award dedicated to the Hindi film industry. People from 120 countries can vote for their favourite stars and their movies for this award ceremony.

Zee Cine Awards aims at congregating Indian film fraternity and celebrate and honour the contributions and excellence of the Hindi film professionals of the previous year in artistic and technical arenas. With each year the sponsorship changes but the events are held with loads of glitz and glamour as the film industry itself pours in to participate in the award ceremony. Zee Cine Awards is associated with Zee Networks.

The venue of Zee Cine Awards keeps on changing. The trophies that are handed out to the winners are 24 carat (100 percent) gold plated. Each year the ceremony marks to be one of the biggest evenings of Bollywood with brightest luminaries, talented personalities, biggest stars and scintillating performances.

History of Zee Cine Awards
Zee Cine Awards or ZCA marked its beginning in the year 1998 in Mumbai. Its first time sponsors were Lux. It continued at the same venue till the year 2004 after which ZCA went international and had their ceremony in Dubai. In following years it was organized in London, Mauritius, Malaysia and London again in 2008. It was not held in 2009 or 2010, but resumed in 2011, being held in Singapore and in 2012 it was held at the CotaiArena in Macao. In 2013 and 2014 it took place in Mumbai.

Features of Zee Cine Awards
Zee Cine Awards presents awards under various categories to commemorate the technical and artistic excellence of Hindi film professionals. At Zee Cine Awards the people vote for the 5 popular categories: Actor, Actress, Director, Film and Track. For the rest of the categories a jury is organised each year to decide the winner. Critics" award for best performance is also given out. Zee Cine Awards are divided into several categories like the other major Indian film awards, such as, Filmfare Awards, Star Screen Awards and IIFA. Besides these there are technical awards and other special awards that are given away at the Zee Cine Awards ceremony every year.

14th Zee Cine Awards
The 14th edition of Zee Cine Awards was held on 8th February 2014 in Mumbai and it was aired on 23rd February on multiple channels. The event was anchored by Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh.
