Deesa is a beautiful town located in the Banaskantha district in the western state of India, Gujarat. It is situated along National Highway 14 (NH 14) .The town is easily accessible by railways. Disa Railway Station, which is on the Palanpur - Diyodar rail route is the nearest railway station. The nearest airport is the Ahmedabad Airport.
According to the 2001 census report, Deesa had a population of about 83,340 inhabitants. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47% of the population. In Deesa 15% of the population is less than six years of age. The average literacy rate of Deesa is 61%, which is higher than the national average, which is 59.5%. Male literacy rate is 69% while that of the female population is 52%.
Juna Disa Teerth is a pilgrim spot nearby. Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary and the historic monuments at Palanpur are the other attractions of Deesa.
