Gymnasts of IndiaGymnasts of India include Dipa Karmakar, Vivek Mishra, Ashish Kumar, Akshata Shete and Ram Chandra Chatterjee. From the time of British rule in India, the Indian gymnast earned a lot of national and international titles.

Dipa Karmakar
Dipa Karmakar was born on 9th August in the year 1993. She is an artistic gymnast who represented India at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She is the first Indian female gymnast ever to compete in the Olympics, and the first Indian gymnast to do so in 52 years. She attained 4th position in Women`s Vault Gymnastics event of Rio Olympics 2016 with an overall score of 15.066.

Vivek Mishra
Vivek Mishra was born on 8th September in the year 1986. He is an Indian gymnast from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. He has represented India in such international competitions as the 2006 Commonwealth Games and the 2006 Asian Games. He was one of five gymnasts from Allahabad named to the gymnastics team for the 2010 Commonwealth Games but was unable to compete because of a shinbone fracture.

Ashish Kumar
Ashish Kumar was born on 1990. He is an Indian gymnast from Allahabad, who won India`s first-ever medals in gymnastics, in October 2010 at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and became the most successful Indian gymnast in Commonwealth Games history, by winning bronze and silver medals in different gymnastic events.

Akshata Shete
Akshata Shete is a national level champion in rhythmic gymnastics from India. She is currently a gymnastics coach at BPCA College in Mumbai, Maharashtra and rhythmic gymnastics coach at Vibgyor High International School and national level judge for gymnastics on several occasions.

Ram Chandra Chatterjee
Ram Chandra Chatterjee was born on 9th August in the year 1892. He was an Indian acrobat, gymnast, balloonist, parachutist and patriot. He was the first Indian to fly in a balloon and land in a parachute. He was also the first Indian to take up ballooning as a profession. His daring acts with the balloon and the parachute made him a national hero.
