Razak Khan, also credited as Razzak Khan, was a veteran Indian film actor and comedian, who worked in a myriad range of Bollywood films, playing supporting and comic roles. He was best known for his comic roles of Manikchand in the Hindi film ‘Baadshah’ (1999), Ninja Chacha in ‘Hello Brother’ (1999) and Takkar Pehelwan in ‘Akhiyon Se Goli Maare’ (2002).
Acting Career of Razak Khan
Born in the year 1951 in the Byculla neighbourhood of South Mumbai, Maharashtra, Razak Khan began his on-screen career with a small role in the famous television show ‘Nukkad’, which aired during 1986-87. He later made his debut in films in the year 1993, with the Hindi film ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’, playing the role of Keshav. He has since then acted in over 90 Hindi films in his career spanning over 23 years. Some of his popular and noteworthy performances include - the role of a taxi driver in ‘Raja Hindustani’ (1996), Nadi Dinna Changezi in ‘Ishq’ (1997), Lucky Chikna in ‘Gunda’ (1998), Kalim Dhila in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ (1998), Manikchand in ‘Baadshah’ (1998), Ninja Chacha in ‘Hello Brother’ (1999), Kabira's gang member in ‘Hera Pheri’ (2000), Babu Bisleri in ‘Hungama’ (2003), Popat (Laundry wala) in ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’ (2005) and John uncle in ‘Partner’ (2007). He was last seen as Popal (Laundry wala) in ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum 3’, released in January 2016.
Apart from films, Razak Khan had also appeared on television, as Makodi Pahalwan on the TV show ‘Chamatkar’ in 1997, in a cameo role in ‘R. K. Laxman Ki Duniya’ in 2012 and as Golden Bhai on ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ in 2014.
On May 24 and 25, 2016, six days before his death, Razak Khan completed all his shots for the film ‘Welcome M1ll1ons’. The shooting of the film will get completed by the end of August 2016, while the release date is yet to be announced.

Razak Khan has a son named Asad Khan, who stays in Croatia.
Death of Razak Khan
Razak Khan breathed his last at around 12:30 AM on June 1, 2016, after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the Holy Family Hospital in Bandra, where a doctor declared him dead on arrival. He was buried at Byculla on June 2, 2016.
