The celebrity chef is also a TV host, cookbook author and multi-tasker, Chef Akshay Nayyar is a whiz in the kitchen. He believes that Chef Sanjeev Kapoor has been a guiding light and a true mentor to him.

Early Life of Akshay Nayyar
Akshay Nayyar did his hotel studies from Shimla and honed culinary skills at the Ananda in the Himalayas, lauded as the world"s best destination spa by Conde Nast Traveller. Here he mastered his skill on holistic spa cuisine and incorporating the principles of Ayurveda in modern day food.

Career of Akshay Nayyar
Skilled in Indian as well as several International cuisines, baking and patisserie, the 27 year old chef had a successful stint as the youngest "Executive Chef" at one of Dubai"s foremost five stars - "Melia", Dubai. He specializes in pre-opening operations and had several restaurants and almost 35 chefs working under him, during the pre-opening of the Melia, Dubai in 2012.

He now is the "Corporate Chef" for Europe, Middle East and Africa for "SK Restaurants Private Limited". Under the guidance of Sanjeev Kapoor, Nayyar conceptualized and headed several operations, including the restaurant"s innovative grillroom and interactive chef"s table at "Signature" by Sanjeev Kapoor"s brand new outlet at Doha.Akshay Nayyar, Indian Chef

Trained under culinary greats like Chef Marco Pierre White and Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Chef Akshay Nayyar debuts as entrepreneur in Bengaluru with "Kopper Kadai" - a concept restaurant which marries ancient with modern.

Chef Nayyar has also been the host of Middle East"s biggest reality TV show "Foodshala" amongst other stints on Indian Television. He hosted 4 seasons of Foodshala and is gearing up to launch Season 5 soon.

Achievements of Akshay Nayyar

•Akshay Nayyar has represented Melia at the World Gourmet Summit, Singapore 2013 and Abu Dhabi in 2014.
•As a chef he is ranked at No.8 in Caterer Middle East"s power 50 lists 2015, and the first Indian chef to be featured in this list.
•Chef Akshay Nayyar also had the privilege of cooking for Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent trip to the UAE.
•In 2013, Nayyar was named "Chef De Cuisine of the year" by the Hotelier Middle East Awards.
