![]() Early Life of Sanjay Thumma Sanjay Thumma was born on 26th April 1970 in Andhra Pradesh. Presently he is living in Hyderabad. He learnt the fundamentals of good, tasty cooking from his mother. He later did his hotel management from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) in Hyderabad. He took training in Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition from the institute and later on incorporated his studies to create some healthy as well as exotic recipes. Career of Sanjay Thumma Sanjay Thumma began his career working for various ITC hotels in Gurgaon, Chennai, Agra and Jaipur. In 1998 he relocated to Chicago to start his own restaurant "Sizzle India". After opening 4 restaurants over 7 years, he decided to sell them all, and took a 2 year hiatus. Prior to his vahrevah.com and other online food channel stints, Sanjay Thumma worked in many national and internationally acclaimed 5 and 7 star hotels. Some of the hotels that are privileged by this great Chef are ‘Oberoi Hotel’ ‘ITC Welcome Group Hotels’ and ‘Taj Hotels’. ![]() In September 2007, he set up a studio in Chicago and started recording his first 150 recipes, which he posted on YouTube, soon becoming a sensation, and each video reaching over a million views. Later he launched his food website, vahrehvah.com and moved back to Hyderabad, where he is currently based. After a break of almost 2 years, Sanjay returned to his YouTube cooking channel show. Television Shows of Sanjay Thumma Sanjay Thumma co-hosted and judged a culinary show in Telugu named "Vantintlo Wonders" (meaning ‘Wonders in the Kitchen’) aired on Gemini TV, a Telugu channel. He is currently hosting another culinary show on Zee Telugu channel named "Vahrehvah". Facebook Page of Sanjay Thumma Sanjay Thumma’s official Facebook page is followed and liked by over millions. He posts new recipes on it and is increasingly becoming popular among food enthusiasts.
