V. Ramakrishna also known as Ramakrishna Vissamraju was a playback singer hailing from South India who earned much fame in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

V. Ramakrishna, Indian Playback SingerV. Ramakrishna also known as Ramakrishna Vissamraju was a veteran singer hailing from South India debuted in regional movie industry by "Vayase Oka Poolathota" in Vichitra Bandham that was released in the year 1972.

Early Life of V. Ramakrishna
V. Ramakrishna was a playback singer in South India. He was born to Vissamraju Rangasai and Ratnam on August 20, 1947. The veteran singer P. Susheela was his maternal aunt (mother`s sister).

Education of V. Ramakrishna
V. Ramakrishna did his B.Sc. while quite young. V. Ramakrishna was impressed by Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao.

Career of V. Ramakrishna
After he was influenced by Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, V. Ramakrishna took up singing as a profession. V. Ramakrishna used to sing light music for All India Radio. V. Ramakrishna got many credits to his name, with an oeuvre consisting of over 5000 songs, from both movies and devotional albums. He also has a credit of many great music directors during the 1970s and 1980s. The songs of V. Ramakrishna were consistently successful during this period. Most of the top actors in the Telugu film industry wanted him to lend his voice to their movies; amongst them were NTR, ANR, Sobhan Babu, and Krishnam Raju. During the past five to six years, V. Ramakrishna took up acting and had been appearing in serials and films as well. V. Ramakrishna continued to give concerts across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Personal Life of V. Ramakrishna
In the year 1977, V. Ramakrishna married Jyothi Khanna, who then was a very famous singer in Doordarshan, the Government Entertainment Channel and gave concerts across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The couple was blessed with the beautiful children, one of whom, Sai Kiran, made his acting debut in Nuvve Kaavali in 2001 and daughter Lekha.

Death of V. Ramakrishna
V. Ramakrishna died on July 16 in the year 2015. V. Ramakrishna had suffered from cancer for the past ten months and having been admitted to Banjara Hills Omega Hospitals. V. Ramakrishna was 67 and is survived by his wife, son Sai Kiran and daughter Lekha.
