The local languages are Punjabi language and Hindi language. The predominant language though spoken is Punjabi. People typically wear kurta pyjamas, pants, shirts and trousers amongst youngster males and salwar kameez for women. The population is mix of Hindus and Sikhs, with Sikhs in the minority.

Santokhgarh has Temple of Vishvakarman. Vishvakarman temple is very famous and around Diwali more than 50,000 people pay tribute to Load Vishvakarman on Vishvakarman-day in Santokhgarh.
