Early Life of Shakti Mohan
Shakti Mohan is the daughter of Brijmohan and Kusum. She has three sisters, Neeti Mohan, Mukti Mohan, and Kriti. Shakti Mohan is originally from Delhi but has lived in Mumbai since 2006. Shakti Mohan studied at Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, a boarding school, and has an MA in Political Science from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. She was planning to become an IAS officer before her appearance on Dance India Dance. She graduated with a diploma in dance from Terence Lewis Dance Foundation Scholarship Trust in 2009.
Television Appearances of Shakti Mohan
Shakti Mohan has a brief appearance in the video for the title song of the movie Tees Maar Khan, and in the movie Rowdy Rathore she has a main appearance in its item song "Aa Re Pritam Pyaare". She plays the role of Kria Ghai in Dil Dosti Dance (Channel V). Shakti also co-assisted Vaibhavi Merchant for Kamli song of Dhoom 3. Parineeti Chopra who came as a guest on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa confessed that she was a fan of Shakti Mohan.
Shakti Mohan in Reality Shows in India
Following her victory in the second season of Dance India Dance, Shakti Mohan produced dance-themed calendars for 2012 and 2013. In the year 2012, Shakti Mohan collaborated with composer Mohammed Fairouz on a BBC-sponsored dance project in New York.

Shakti Mohan also produced a dance music video together with her sisters. In the year 2013, Shakti Mohan launched a channel in an online telecasting service with dance instruction videos.
