![]() Early Life of Khelemba Singh Khelemba Singh also known as Irungbam Khelemba Singh was born in the year 1985. He is an Indian football player. He currently plays for Mumbai F.C. as a defender in the I-League. Khelemba Singh is hailing from Imphal, which is the capital of Manipur. He had started playing football since his schooldays. Career of Khelemba Singh The talent of Khelemba Singh did not go unnoticed and he soon played in the Manipur League for SSC Sekta and Sagaoband United. In the year 2004, Khelemba Singh joined Green Valley Football Club for Guwahati and then played in the I-League 2nd division for Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB). In domestic level, Khelemba Singh joined Churchill Brothers in the year 2005. Khelemba Singh played for four other I-League clubs Viva Kerala, East Bengal, Air India and Salgaocar before joining Mohun Bagan Athletic Club.
Khelemba Singh in I-League In the I-League match at Calicut against Air India, when Sulley Mussah had fouled Badmus Babatunde. At that time Viva Kerala was captained by Khelemba Singh. He there scored from a 40-yard long stunning free kick, a thriller which finally ended in a 3-2 win for the home team. Khelemba Singh in National Tournaments On 24th November 2013, it was announced that Khelemba Singh has signed for Mumbai Football Club, on loan from IMG Reliance with three other players Mohammed Rafi, N.P. Pradeep and Peter Costa. He made his debut on 2 December 2013 against East Bengal Football Club at the Balewadi Sports Complex in which he played the whole match as Mumbai Football Club, which won the match 3-2. In the year 2014, Khelemba Singh was signed for Chennaiyin Football Club for Indian Super League in the year 2014. |
