Early Life and Education of Bidita Bag
Bag hails from Santragachhi, a neighbourhood of Howrah city in West Bengal state of India. She received her school education from Kendriya Vidyalaya Santragachi. She completed her pre-university studies from Kendriya Vidyalaya Fort William in Science. Then she went on to pursue her graduation in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Bag is a trained Classical singer.

Modeling Career of Bidita Bag
Her tryst with modeling started when she was in her college. Bag was spotted by Jeena Mitra Banik and ace make-up artist Late Prabeer Kumar Dey. Her talents were recognized after working for fashion designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Kiran Uttam Ghosh. After completing her graduation, she moved to Mumbai to seek a better career in modeling. She has walked for Lakme fashion week and Lakme Elle-18. A leading model, Bag has also appeared in varied television commercials including Fair & Lovely, 7UP, Nokia, Lakme, Indian Terrain, Kwality Walls Cornetto, Reliance, Bombay Dyeing, Wild Stone deodorant, Horlicks, Samsung Corby TV, Indian Terrain and many others.

Acting Career of Bidita Bag
Bag debuted as an actress in the year 2011 with the Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy directed Bengali movie "Icche". This critically acclaimed movie is based on Suchitra Bhattacharya`s novel and throws light on the relationship between an obsessive mother and her son.

In terms of commercial Bollywood films, her first was "Sydney with Love" under Pramod Films. The film was released on 31 August 2012 and earned positive reviews for her performance. Bag"s first Hindi feature film is a socio-political thriller named "As The River Flows". NFDC is producing the film and is currently in post production. She is essaying the role of an Assamese village girl co-starring Sanjay Suri and Victor Banerjee.
