![]() History of Marve Beach There is a strip of land from Aksa Beach to Marve which in early times served as one of the many islands that lay off the Salsette west coast. Till the year 1808, these islands remained separate. By the year 1882, these islands became accessible during low tides and could be reached by walking across the tidal inlets in between. Features of Marve Beach The presence of sinking sands and swift currents make Marve Beach not much safe for swimming. The beach is mid sized and has medium occupation rate. East side is not faced by the beach and it also mostly remains unaffected by the winds. The beautiful sandy stretch of Marve Beach makes it an ideal place to spend leisure time. Visiting Information to Marve Beach Marve Beach is best visited in the month of July. Bus services are available for reaching the beach from Malad Railway Station. Apart from this, taxis and auto-rickshaws also serve the visitors. Nearest railway stations are at Malad and Borivali on the western railway line.
